False lashes can be removed with just one stroke. It has only happened twice. The 200 other times required painstaking yanking, and trail lash glue.

My lash extensions from Lash Expressions adventure began when I foolishly pulled my lashes out as soon as it was time to go. I then used a pair of tweezers to remove any glue. Guess what? Guess what? And guess what? I felt the same stickiness even after washing my face.

My old method of scraping the glue off with sharp objects for seven consecutive days did not work. It's not worth it. Instead, I created a three-step strategy that removes falsies without irritating sensitive eye skin or pulling out natural lashes. Amazingly, there is an ingredient that will completely dissolve the gluey residue in your eyes in seconds.

STEP 1: Steam up until clean

There are two ways you can do it:

Synthetic lashes:

Place a microfiber towel on your face. Place the microfiber towel on your eyes. Repeat this step three to patru times until you loosen the glue from your eyelashes. The amount of glue you used will determine how easily your lashes lift. To make it easier, they might separate from your lash line.

High-end lashes

You should not submerge high-end lashes in water. This can cause permanent damage to the design. You can loosen the glue by using a damp, warm cotton towel to gently rub the lash band multiple times. Lift your lashes gently from the outer edge.

STEP 2: Use a strong make-up remover.

You can store your lashes after they are removed. To remove any makeup, glue, or residues, use a waterproof mascara remover on cotton pads.

STEP 3: Get some extra virgin olive oil in the kitchen.

Coconut oil is the best oil to remove lash glue residue. Extra virgin olive oil was my glue-removal hero throughout my week-long trip. I put a tablespoon of oil in a cup and then dipped a strip of cotton into it. Next, I gently rubbed glue between my eyes using the cotton swab. When the glue is brushed with oil, it will dissolve in seconds. EVOO has hair-conditioning and thickening properties. Although I have not experienced any irritation, it is recommended that you wash your skin with water immediately after using EVOO.
